Long Island the New Alaska?

This is going to be a real quick one because I just got home a few hours ago and I am freezing my butt off.  Today I spent a total of 9 hours at the Disney Store, 9 hours! Well I should start from the start.  I wake up this morning thinking we would get this awesome snowstorm. No of course not. Long Island decided to turn into Alaska and make everything ice. Took me 20 min to get up the block to the mall and when I get in, I look at my manager and say “I did not leave Florida for this!”  Of course they laughed at me. Blah New York Disney Store managers.

Anywhose, the roads got worst. All the snow/ice mix froze over and made it a sheet of ice.  No one was in the mall too. It felt like a ghost town the whole time.  They were going to call other people in after my shift, but I told them don’t bother since I am here I will just stay.  It was a plus we did nothing the whole time.  Well I can’t say nothing, I did managed to go shopping for myself.  The store put like half their stuff on sale, then an additional 50% off plus my 30% off.  I got this giant snow globe of Maleficent dragon on a rock around villains for only $12.  Beat that ice storm!

The day passed, and longer and longer I stayed.  Took us 9 hours and thats only cause my manger wanted to close, not the mall. The whole time I felt like I was back at World of Disney again.  Minus Mickey stickers and magical moments.  Sigh.
