My friend Sara came down from Detroit this weekend and we had a lovely time. I spent entirely too much money on books -- we went to Borders every day she as here. But I got The God Delusion and The Portable Atheist, which I'm looking forward to reading.
Yesterday we went to the
Bodies Exhibit. It was absolutely amazing. We waited for a total of about 4 hours when you include parking and tickets and getting in. But it was so worth it. I learned more there than in any biology or health class I've ever taken. I'm using 7 muscles right now as I type on this computer. You know, they always talk about about child birth and show little diagrams in books -- they don't say anything about how little this tubes and canals actually are. It's insane! I don't know if I want to try to squeeze a baby through there.
So, if you have BBC America, please watch Top Gear on Monday nights at 8 & 9. I don't care about cars any more than the next person, but this show, these guys, are hilarious. Tonight they're building limousines and putting them through road tests -- they're entirely too large and completely ineffective. But quite entertaining.
That's about it for now.
