mom will love this one
so, i had a haircut today, and i decided to shake it up a bit. i pulled a half-britney on esther (who is oh so good at that) and asked her to buzz most of my head shorter than usual, leaving the faux-hawk long. i think she did a great job, and in a week once the hawk is longer, it'll be even better. meanwhile i feel so light with my 70% buzzed head. it's nice! later in the summer when it gets hotter more consistently (it's about 90 right now for the next few days but it'll change), i'm gonna have her buzz the whole thing off. i've been itching to do that. it'll be so nice not to have to put any product in my hair. not to mention how good it's gonna feel under the shower!

meanwhile last night was a lot of fun. mike (school mike), his cousin vanessa, like 4 of their friends, and mike's friend robert (the only other gay one), my friend kerry and i were at mary's, i sang my little gay heart out. i did savage garden's "affirmation." i also did a duet with mike. we did "picture" (kid rock and sheryl crow. he made me be sheryl.) someone was taking pictures of me when i was singing. not the first time that's happened, either..... and kerry did "jump in line" (you know, the belafonte song.... "shake, shake, shake, senora!") and she was good, too! she's so much fun. definitely inviting her whenever i hit town from now on.
from mary's (and two absolut Pear martinis later) the heteros dragged us to barney's beanery. fucking shithole, honest to god. smelled like a toilet, complete with some long haired dudes that were NOT drag queens. ew. who goes to weho and goes to a fricken straight bar? really. so kerry (the TRUE hag of the group) and robert and i headed off on our own to the abbey. i had my key lime martini and all was right with the world. i was surprisingly not smashed at the end of the night. at all, but i was very very sleepy. zonked out in the car on the way back.
and today has been a good day, i am in a good mood.
