A World Apart

I love experimenting with brushes these days.
And I do realize that my poster style has begun to repeat itself. I need more inspiration and I need to develop a different style as well.

There are some poster makers out there whom I simply admire - they are able to capture the mood of the fic even through a simple explanation by the author. I on the other hand, need to read one or two chapters of the story before I can get a feel of it and make a decent poster. Even then, there are plenty of times when I am dissatisfied with the final product and end up making three four posters for the same story.
And the irony of it is sometimes I hate the new posters more than the old one!

But for now, the two latest posters I've done are these.

As you can see, I spent a lot of time experimenting with butterfly brushes. I'm not adventurous enough to venture beyond black at the moment and I think my photo filtering effort still needs a little work in order to soften the effect on the posters. All in all though I'm pretty happy with how the posters turned out.
