I must say I had a very nice and relaxing weekend. On Friday, I hung out with a few friends and went to MJQ for hip hop night. I drank waaaay too many screwdrivers and felt like someone shit on my head Saturday morning.
After a few hours of recovery time, the boy and I went down to Little 5 and did a little shopping for the new apartment (I know, I know, it's not till at least 3 months but these things take time to plan ya know ;) I got a cool, wooden candle holder, some wooden wall units to set my Pocket Dragon collection on, and an asian style votive lantern (floral glass). I'm thinking about getting one of those awesome fish tank/tables for our living room. Omg, it's going to be so awesome.
Speaking of awesome, I had a great time on Sunday. First thing I would like to say is that it was the most beautiful day ever. It wasn't too hot and the sun and sky were so brilliant, making the outdoors extremely vivid in color. My boyfriend and I grabbed some lunch around 12:30 and headed over to Hastings Nursery. I've never been there before, but it was soooo cute. Outside, they had this man-made moat-type thing that had a ton of koi fish in it. As soon as I knelt down a bunch of the koi just swam up to the edge, like they were expecting me to feed them (there was a popcorn machine on the way in, so I'm assuming they probably get feed popcorn all the time). It was funny because they didn't seem scared at all. In fact, I sat there and was petting them and they didn't even move out of the way (I know, it may sound gross but it really wasn't, it was adorable).
After my fish frenzy, my friend Mary, her boyfriend, her brother and somewhat hated brother's girlfriend, and Chris and I went to this place called Arabian Mountain. I guess it's supposed to be a part of Stone Mountain and it was so beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a better day to go and the scenery was simply breathtaking. I took several pictures from the day:
Chris giving me his sexy pose.
The fish I pet. The black one really seemed to love it, haha.
The Koi and I hanging out.

Just to give you an idea of how beautiful it was

Anyways, that is all for now. I really need to start reading Antigone. I must say, the reading for my literature class has gotten a lot more interesting (thank god).
