October 25 is Chocolate Cake day!
I am posting this for my friend Karen:
This is the day that my friends and I celebrate the life of my friend Karen's oldest son Andrew, who died 1 1/2 months before his fourth birthday... on which, he really wanted chocolate cake (his favourite). She decided to still have cake on what would have been his 4th birthday, to remember Andrew, and to be grateful for the children she DOES have in her life.
Andrew would have been turning 10 yrs old this year, which makes this the 7th annual chocolate cake day.
I'm writing this to invite all of you to take part if you wish, to celebrate not only the short life of one wonderful boy, but the lives of ALL the children we know. If you can't have actual cake, that's okay... anything chocolate will do.
Now there is even a better reason to have chocolate cake, Happy Chocolate Cake day. :)
