back to hawaii
a little over a week ago i was back in hawaii. i went to go visit josh(hawaii boyfriend) for a few days. it was great once i finally got there...my original flight was canceled which made me miss my connection to hawaii so i had to catch a later flight which made me 6 hours late. i was quite upset, but once i got there everything was all better.
i only had three requests for my visit, otherwise everything was left up to him. i wanted to have a cup of coffee everyday, visit the mall i had worked at to catch up with some old coworkers, and play mahjong one day in the afternoon. the coffee was delicious, catching up talking story was great, and now josh is a little addicted to mahjong himself.
the things he had planned were all a surprise:
we had dinner with friends at the last tiki bar in hawaii
we had drinks with friends at one of our old hangouts
we danced to live jazz music at one of our favorite bars
we swam in a shark cage
we flew to maui for the weekend
we viewed the early morning above the clouds atop haleakala crater
we drove the road to hana and hiked, had a picnic, and saw waterfalls along the way
we had dinner at hawaii's only 5 star restaurant
we went to hawaii's best vietnamese pho shop
the best thing he planned was all the time we got to spend together. the whole trip was relaxing and great. i can actually admit that i enjoyed being in hawaii this last time.
