Wow, I have updated in forever. It's been a busy summer, but I can't believe it's over already. This summer was pretty dull. I worked 45 hours or so a week at Operation PEACE. I guess that was pretty fun. We did a ton of arts and crafts like making mini tvs, cd holders, pirate ships, and kites. We shot off little alka seltzer rocks at the park and went on a ton of field trips. My favorite field trips were George's Island and Canobie Lake Park. Haha, I guess I should have enjoyed the summer program, I designed it. It was a lot more lax than I designed it but I'm cool with that. It's summer and the kids really needed to have fun.

In other news, Adam and I have been cohabitating all summer...well sorta. He's staying at my house, but my parents aren't letting us stay in the same room. Still it's great to have him here. We get to see each other more now. With him working mostly nights and me working long days, it gets kinda hard. I'm glad he's here and getting to really know my family. He's great with Caytlin and my brothers love him.

Speaking of Caytlin....she is getting cuter and cuter every day. Her little brother Ethan was born in June so now I have a nephew too! He's super cute too. Caytlin loves him, which is way better than her being jealous. It's incredible to watch her grow and learn new things.

So anyways....I start student teaching third grade with Maureen tomorrow. We set up most of the classroom last Wednesday and we have meetings tomorrow and Wednesday. The first day of school is Thursday! Eeep! I'm a little nervous. I haven't taught any of my lessons in a classroom before and it's not going to be the same as when I did my field work in Maureen's class, but still I can't wait to meet all the kids!

Good bye summer. Hello long days. I have to be out of my house by 6 if i take the bus, and 6:30 if Che drives me to government center. I'll be at Runkle from 7:30-2:00/2:30, then straight to Operation PEACE until 6:30/7, then it's probably over an hour commute home after that, as soon as I figure out what bus I can take that will take me somewhere near my house.
