"But if I lose the highs, at least I'm spared the lows."

This break was shmazing.
And I have to admit: This birthday week was the best one I've ever had.
I saw a good amount of people over this break too, even some spartan peeps. Holler.

Thank god for my best friends though, mmhmmm. They know who they are. They really make my life.

So in the hours before my 21st, I went to see DREAM GIRLS with Margie. I'm almost positive I would not like this show if I had seen it in actual play-form. But pretty much Jennifer Hudson made the movie for me. I went and bought the soundtrack just so I could listen to her sing "Love You I Do" and "One Night Only." I also managed to cry almost every time she sang in the movie, especially the fucking end. Who am I? I wonder sometimes.

After midnight on my 21st birthday, Margie and I ventured to Meijers so I could buy her a fifth. It was definitely satisyfing.

Then Booda and I went on quite an adventure trying to find a bar that was open New Year's night. After a while, we were successful and ended up at Dooley's where she bought me the first alcoholic drink to touch my lips ever....a Corona. ;-)

On my actual day of birth, my car decided not to start. So Booda and I spent most of the day at the gas station trying to get my car fixed.

After some pilates to relieve that stress, I was ready to go out with the parentals to Assaggi; aka my new favourite restaurant in Ferndale. However, they didn't even card me so that was kind of anti-climactic. But the food was revolutionary.

Shortly after getting over a food coma, my aunt picked me up to take me to Julie's, and her, Booda, Becky, and I were off to The Locker Room. When we first got there, there was barely anyone there, and when I walked in, the first thing the bartender said was, "who's the birthday girl?". After I said 'me', the next thing he says is, "Tonight, I am going to get you FUCKED up." I was like, Oh Jesus. The night continued on in my honor, as the entire bar celebrated my birthday. It was pretty much the best night of my life, especially since they had me pick out songs to play in the bar, so I had BNL going as I took shots that were bought by my new found friends Dave and Adam, who footed the bill for our whole party that night. I wasn't too drunk, actually my cousin was the drunkest, which made me happy, and yeah, it was the best birthday I've had...ever.

Some Pics from that night:

ohhh 21st. you were so good to me.

The next day I tried shopping. Oy. Then I waited for Joy, Portia, and Jessica to get to my house. And my mother drove us to the bar. That was pretty intense. hahaha. We went to Fifth Avenue in Royal Oak, and met up with Jenna, Henry, Cara, Terry, Lisa (my sister), Luke, Kamaal, and Ethan. The night ended at Leo's....fabulous. And Brian drove us home as he was the chaffeur for both of my birthday nights. Isn't that cute.

And Friday my dad and stepmom took me out to Morton's Steak House where the waitresses all told me how young I looked. Loved it. And I'm actually being serious. So that was fabulous. Plus my padre fixed my computer. Hence the lj entry to celebrate.

All in all this break was sultry. Between roller skating with Kelsey, finally seeing Phil at the beginning of the break, New Year's again with Mitch (ahahaha), and of course, hot tub night with the Hot Tub Sluts. Oh! And I got a new camera!

Daddy loves life right now, is what I'm trying to say. And I can't wait to get back up to State and see people, like JORDON.
okay i gotta hit the road. hope ya'll enjoyed the pictures and are doing well too.
UNT.
