Aww, i love the hand-written one! &hearts&hearts&hearts&hearts
YAY! ANOTHER BOOK MEME! *noms* *steals*
The BBC believes most people will have read only 6 of the 100 books listed here. The BBC is full of it.
But . . . you didn't finish Catch-22? NOOOOOOO! I've read that damn book so many times, I've worn out two copies! Finish it for me, please? *big puppy eyes* You won't regret it!
You've gotta finish Watership Down, too. That book is EPIC.
And Lolita, too. XD
10) Great Expectations - Charles Dickens (I FUCKING HATE DICKENS) 32) David Copperfield - Charles Dickens (GTFO DICKENS WHY ARE YOU HERE TWICE) 71) Oliver Twist - Charles Dickens (FOR FUCK'S SAKE) 81) A Christmas Carol - Charles Dickens (BLOW ME DICKENS)
LMAO, you crazy woman! You are KILLING me here!! And I believe I detect a slight amount of displeasure with Dickens, do I not? (Eh, I had no fewer than three college professors proclaim that Stephen King is the "modern Dickens." How scary is that?) *would rather read Stephen King -- at least there are vampires and stuff*
Screw The Little Prince -- I think Saint-Exupery was on drugs when he wrote that. Read Wind, Sand, and Stars instead. Pure poetry.
18) Catcher in the Rye - JD Salinger (this book can suck my dick) Holden Caulfield agrees 100%. XD
*former English major* *hates Jane Austen* *is amused by Pride and Prejudice and Zombies*
I may not be smart at math, but I'm well-read in literature. &hearts&hearts&hearts&hearts&hearts&hearts&hearts&hearts&hearts FOREVER !!!
Math sux. Lit rules!
Gonna shut up about the books now and go finish the damn memes myself. XD
ETA: Finish Catch-22 and I shall draw you something. Anything! *is not above bribery* ETA2: Yeah, yeah, meme me! XD
That book is MAGICAL. Poetic beauty in the desert. The only other "pilot-author" book that comes close to describing the utter beauty of flight is Ernest K. Gann's Fate Is the Hunter, but if I had to choose between the two, I'd go with Saint-Exupery every time.
And methinks I shall have to go and re-read it now.
FIRST: 1. You always leave such detailed comments, it makes me know that you've read what I'm posting about, which makes me all happy and squishy inside. :D 2. "The Monster at the End of the Book" - I love that episode! That and I love Chuck. HAHAH DON'T ASK WHY IT MAKES ME THINK OF YOU, but I do kind of equate the feeling of watching it to being in Chicago? LOL IDK BB <3 3. OBVIOUSLY WE NEED TO GET TOGETHER AGAIN, AMIRITE - MORE CHOCOLATES AND CAMERAS AND EVERYTHING <3 4. Being inappropriately loud and dying cell phones and mint chocolates. :D 5. HAHAH SEARCHING FOR EACH OTHER IN THE LOBBY OF THE HOTEL. SO HILARIOUS 6. "It's like we got a contract on us. You think it's 'cause we're so awesome? I think it's 'cause it's we're so awesome." 7. :D How did you get interested in photography, bb?
LOLOL CATCH-22 WILL NOW BE ON MY LIST <3 ALSO DICKENS CAN SUCK MY DICK FOREVER; I really love Stephen King, and I think he has a much better grasp on characters and character interaction than Dickens ever did. JUST MY OPINION BUT THEN AGAIN I REALLY LOVE STEPHEN KING <3
I've never heard of Wind, Sands, and Stars, but if you AND Tigs both think it's a good book, I'm so on it, bb! :D AND I'M GLAD YOU LIKE MY HANDWRITING, LOLOLOL <3
1. Aww, that's so sweet! Glad you like -- here I was worried about being all tl;dr. XD 2. LOL! So I'm either: (a), the drunken hermit writer; (b), the evil, seductive demon; (c) the sneaky angel; or (d), the book Dean's all snuggled up on the bed with. (Please say "(d)" -- I wanna be "(d)") XD 3. Damn straight! there MUST be another meeting of the minds! Chocolates, cameras and all! 4. &hearts&hearts&hearts 5. LOLOL! "Where are you?" "Walk over to the doors!" "Where?" "Turn around!" "WHERE--oh! Hey, there!!" That was the most epic meeting EVER. 6. Tee-hee. 7. Wow, that's a good question. It was always there -- I just kinda liked the idea of capturing moments on film. Even as a child, I always loved taking photos of airplanes (another huge obsession of mine) and that never went away. Except now I take photos of everything. XD
READ CATCH-22!!! WIND, SAND AND STARS, TOO! (Yes, it is a truly awesome read -- you won't regret it.)
