Part 1

Sam's never really considered Castiel, you know, physically. She (he? it? what's the proper term for something that doesn't even have a physical form of its own?) is an angel, something so far beyond human that Sam has trouble even contemplating it. Sure, she's beautiful - the short hair works better on her than it does on Sam, and her eyes, they're blue like the sky must be at the top of the world - but she's also untouchable. Holy.

That is, until the day that Dean leans across the table, careful not to trail his sleeve in his plate of pancakes and sausages, and says, "Is it blasphemy if I say that Castiel has a nice ass?"

Sam shakes her head. "Excuse me?"

"What are you doing," he hisses - Sam's not really sure why, since the motel room is empty, and, as far as she knows, Castiel isn't about to drop in on them.

She closes the cover of the book she'd been looking through (another manuscript, this one 18th century English, Being a Treatise on the Nature of Ogres, Goblyns, and Redcaps) and gives Dean a look that she hopes comes off as "innocent". "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Still not..."
