Deeeeeeeeeean. <3 Awww, I do love the boys so much. I don't think Dean would really push him until it became a huge problem, and I imagine after the end of this Cas would let Dean know what the dreams were and he would be like, "OMG YOU ARE GOING TO TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG RIGHT NOW." (hahaha have you seen that hair in Season 5? TOTALLY BLOW DRIES THAT.)

Mm, I think that Sam/Cas with one-sided Sam definitely makes sense because Sam's kind of always had a thing for angels and heaven and all. (I think it plays into an idea of being redeemed for everything he's done, whether or not for the best purposes.) I think for a real pairing standpoint it's Cas that become the difficult one. I mean, in my story he's more curious and concerned for Sam than anything else because, after all, weird shit is happening to them and they're friends. To twist it romantically on Castiel's side is probably the more difficult. (Honestly I ship pretty much everything in SPN, haha!)

I did choose Chicago because it was where the first big step to the beginning of the end was supposed to happen. But also this isn't the showdown. This wasn't Lucifer giving him the dreams, this is Hell trying to convince him that this is what Sam wants, needs and basically that it's destiny. Also, you could think of it as Chicago is where he is convinced to say yes, and Detroit is where it actually takes place. lol also i like chicago better as a background place for bodies and blood i guess
