Jeepers, seven goddamn years on LJ? Obviously I have no life.
Shit, guys, you know what I just realized? I've had this goddamn thing since 2003.
THAT IS SEVEN YEARS OF LIVEJOURNAL. OH GOD. Like, how sick is that? What have I been doing my whole life?
I suppose I'll do something to celebrate it. How about seven sketches/sketch dumps of seven things I am into? Hmn. Off the top of my head:
1. Disney. Who doesn't love Disney? Also, I haven't drawn Disney in quite a while so it'll be nice. (Yes, I'm going to draw a lot of Alice and Hatter because they are the most fun to doodle and if you'd like to see a certain Princess or some shit tell meeeeee)
2. Doctor Who. OH GOD MAYBE A SKETCH OF THE ELEVENTH DOCTOR. And of course Ten. I know it's like you either have to love or hate Ten from what little I've seen of the fandom, but I do love him, despite all the couple!wank he had to go through. Maybe some other Doctors as well. (Four, Eight, Five. I don't like Seven so fuck you, Seven.)
3. Sherlock Holmes. Haha, seriously, I have to. Especially with the new movie out and all. (I did love that movie. EPIC BROMANCE
4.Star Trek. I must admit, I'm one of those who fell in love with the reboot and then fell in love with the original series. (How could I not fall in love with the reboot? CHRIS PIIIIINE.) Maybe sketches of old and new side by side?
5. Primeval. I do love Primeval and am a bit scared to sketch it. There are some things I just don't like to sketch because I'll get all up on myself and be like, "OH IT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE SHOW WHINE WHINE WHINE"
6. Fairy Tales. I know it's not like a TV show or movie, but seriously, when I was sick, I read ALL about them. And I think I would love to seriously get down to work and draw a little. Also, it'll be a nice contrast between the watered down Disney versions and the bloody, gory versions.
7. Obviously Supernatural. Obviously I need to work on that shit. Besides, drawing the little comics of it makes me laaaaaaaugh.
Here's where I need your halp. If you guys don't want to see one of these fandoms, let me know. I mean, if I get ten people saying, "UM _____________ IS GAY DON'T DO IT," I would not post it if people didn't want to see it. But if there is at least one person who wants to see each of these, I'll go ahead and post it. But fuck you guys, I'm doing fairy tales no matter what.
Mm, I think I might devote a week to each. That way I have time to do both semi-serious drawings and stupid little doodles and alternate styles and character designs if I wish. Also, I won't have to do a HUGE SKETCH DUMP and can spread out the pictures. I'll try and start with an intro post of little what's-its and then get down to the nitty gritty. I'm probably not go to go in order, I'll jump around.
Expect the intro post of fandom!pencil!sketches to come by Saturday at the latest. I might take a few days to doodle and get those doodles scanned and shit. I'll show a cross between rough pencil doodles, pen outlines, and Photoshop tablet whatevers. (Honestly, drawing on a tablet is still really weird for me and I honestly think I do better on actual paper so I don't do it too much but I'm going to give it a good effort, I promise.)
