HERE IS WHY I AM NO LONGER ON THE INTERNETS FOR THE TIME BEING.
Numero Uno. Here's a long story short: Told my mom I did not want to attend school anymore at the moment because I want to kill myself. She berated me for not having a plan, and offered to move me into an apartment. The other option is find a photography job out of state. Basically now the plan is go to another semester, and while in the apartment, do a wide search of photography jobs so when my birthday comes along, I will have secured a photo job and will be ready to move away. I hate that every time I tell my mother I do not want to attend school she finds ways of roping me back in. (She herself has admitted this.) But I think, with all we talked about, the plan discussed above is the best as far as right now goes. It will give me more than a month to find a job, make sure it has health benefits and such, and get my ass out of here.
Two! Given a book about the 501 books one should read, I have read about 50 of them, working on 60. Books I read Christmas week:
- Frankenstein
- Memoirs of a Geisha
- Rebecca
- Beloved
- The Bloody Chamber
- Atonement
- Snow Falling on Cedars
- At Work (by Annie Lebovitz)
Books I Started:
- Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
- Siddhartha
Right now I'm reading The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera, The Sound and The Fury by William Faulkner and Naked Lunch by William S. Burroughs, not to mention Can't Find My Way Home: America in the Great Stoned Age, 1945-2000. I AM A READING MACHINE, so the internets have been put on hold.
Tres. Whenever I do get on the internet, I watch Never Mind the Buzzcocks on YouTube. I want Simon Amstell to be my best friend and drinking buddy.
4. My new digital camera is in (the Nikon D80) and it is BANGIN'. So that's been there as well.
Five. HOLY SHIT I'M TURNING 21 IN FIVE MONTHS AND I FEEL OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD.
And that's why I haven't been around lately. plz forgive me!
