mondays could not get better.

Regina Spektor in concert makes you not want to listen to the albums because it just doesn't sound the same.

Jenny Young and I went to the Norva to see her last night, and she was adorable and cute and wonderful and amazing. Anyone who likes Regina should def. go see her in concert. She was just so cute. She would say 'thank you' after almost every song, and she messed up a couple songs, saying, "Fuck, I knew that would happen!" and she sung Hotel Song with a fellow beat-boxer and no instruments, which was def. the highlight song.

Poor Little Rich Boy she thumped a drumstick on a chair and played the piano at the same time.

Summer In The City was the most beautiful song that night.

Whenever we'd sing along, she would change the song a little bit.

That Time sounds so much better with just her voice and guitar.

Salior Song is more hilarious with a whole crowd singing "Mary Ann's a bitch".

It's wasn't that big of an area, and everyone was basically standing anyway. We got a pretty good view, and I snuck my newly repared Lomo in and took pictures (that I hope will turn out). The guy asked me when I handed my ID if I was trying to pass for 21 and I couldn't help but laugh.

Driving through Virigina and singing to a number of songs from Regina, Across The Universe, The Beatles, Tenacious D, The Bar-Kays, The Black Keys, Earth, Wind & Fire, Don McLean, and anything that my iPod was up for.

Asking for directions at a 7/11 at 12:30 in the morning and ending up not using them.

Jenny said, "Well, I saw the concert and clicked on Regina on my facebook so I could see who else liked her because I couldn't think of anyone to come with me, and then I was like, 'Kellie likes Regina Spektor, hey!'" and I laughed and told her we needed to do this again to which she readily agreed.

I couldn't have asked for a better Monday.

If only the rest of the week could compare.

[hare krishna and if you don't know what that means, you should google it]
