1. Leave me a casual comment of no particular significance, like a lyric to your current favorite song, your favorite kind of sandwich, or maybe your favorite game. Any remark, meaningless or not.
2. I will respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. Include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in your own post.
5. When others respond with a desultory comment, you will ask them five questions.
my five questions from
loveliesfamous:
one. What started your love of the beatles? My love of the Beatles, JEEZ. I think someone had me listen to Here Comes The Sun and it was all downhill from there. However, it wasn't until I was at my worst and probably the most depressing time of my life that I really found 'em. Which is probably why I'm so taken with them now, because their music helped me through one of the most trying times I've had so far. The message is good, their stories are insane and great and scary and sad, and their music is ever-changing. I don't think you can not like the Beatles; they've influenced so many artists of today's radio stations.
two. Your favourite Doctor Who character and why? THE DOCTOR LOLOLOL. I'm a big fan of the Doctor because he's such an endearing, complex character. He's funny and charming but he can also be dark and terrible. He's inventive and optmistic. Always trying to find the good in humanity...as well as other species, at times. He lives in the moment, ever moving, and that appeals to me.
I also have a soft spot of Jack Harkness. He's so in the moment and so wonderfully human in some of his qualities that you can't help but like him just a little bit. In the Torchwood series you get to see a more serious side, but for me Capt. Jack is always the one with the smile on his face and a joke at hand. I also find it hilarious that his sexuality knows no bounds. LOL.
three. If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? I would visit either England or India. I've always wanted to go to England, always. I just love the culture and the accents and the styles. It's a place I want to live in for a while, and I think that says a lot about my love for the country. And I would like to go to India because I'm having a new fondness for Eastern ways and I think it'd be a wonderful place to learn something new. Besides, I'm studying the religions/philosophies around that region and I would love to be immersed in a place that birthed such amazing ideas.
four. Have you ever been in love? Mmm, I think I have, or it's the closest to love that I've ever been. If only it had turned out better. Alas! But I'm grateful for knowing what it is, finally. Can't go through life never known love, can ya?
five. Do you like where you live? As I like to say, "It's a nice place to come from but not to come back to." Salisbury is a nice little city. I can find my way around easy, the people are usually nice, and it's always been where I've lived. It's...familiar in the best ways. But as much as I love my little city, I do want to move on to bigger things. It's a nice place to stay, but not the best for moving up in the world, if you can catch my drift. I have bigger dreams than this.
TIGS I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU. Actually, if no one has Beatles For Sale, I think I might just buy it. I mean, I listen to its counterpart like, every moment of my LIFE. So why not get it? :D TIGS THANK YOU LIKE NO OTHER. IF THERE IS ANYTHING YOU WANT DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK. SRSLY.
