Last week? Sucked.
I haven't heard anything about the math position.
Portfolios are due in two days and last week was spent doing assessments while kids are in and out because of their stupid parents.
A hint to all of those who are going to have children: Even though it seems like things are winding down in June, we still have loads of shit to do. Wait a whole 3 weeks to go on vacation!!!
I had a MAJOR issue with one of the parents who wrote me a nasty note, but I did get an apology the following day.
Ed and I had a loooong talk that turned into a reality check for us. I spent most of Tuesday night crying and went to school the next day with swollen eyes.
After a stressful week, I was going to Ed's, and I spent an hour on route 287. I made it to the parkway and GOT A FLAT. I'm so lucky I didn't spin out ala Nicole. I was going 75-80 mph on a wet road. And I'm also lucky because I was able to pull over onto a spot that didn't make changing the tire dangerous.
I called Ed, but he wasn't picking up, so I called Jay (his roommate). He said he'd come and help, but he couldn't find me and gave up. THEN Ed had to come and get me. I was waiting for over an hour before I got to drive back to Ed's.
So yeah, this week, I have portfolios due, and report cards are due the 14th. Kill self.
Have I mentioned that I don't have a summer job yet?
I hope the next time I post, I'll have something positive to say!
