oh boy
It was nice waking up at 9 and going to breakfast to visit my boyfriend with one of my really good friends. After we finished breakfast, Carlie and I headed back to my house to pick up my brother. Despite the fact that he just got his wisdom teeth out, he toughened up and went with us for the college visit since he may not see it by the time I start college. We drove down there this time (it was a lot more pleasant than taking the "L". We got there a little late for the presentation so we just decided to skip the boring part and walk around for ourselves. We got back to the Sullivan center just in time for the tour around the campus. It was nice to get a complete tour around the campus because I had only toured the campus by myself before. We walked into some classrooms and got a feel for them. We also checked out the Simpson dorms (which I am putting at #2 on my list). The Simpson dorms were pretty rad. They are relatively new and the Simpson building has the best dining hall. The rooms were of decent size and the bathrooms are semi-private. The hallways and bathrooms reminded me of a hotel which was pretty rad if you ask me. Winthrop is our #1 choice by far. This year they only had 2 floors of freshman occupants but next year it will be all freshman. They just built it last year and each room has a private bathroom. It's right across from Simpson also. The part that excited me the most was when we walked past a field area right on the lake. The entire area is wireless so when it gets warm people gather around there work on the computer, surf hte net, play frisbee, or jam on their guitars. Sounds pretty cool if you ask me. Nonetheless, I'm really excited for the things that are to come in my life. I'm really glad with the decisions that I've made thus far. I will be far enough from home, but close enough to my mom,Eric, and Katie.
Speaking of Eric...
Tomorrow is our 1 month. My mom is shocked she says it feels longer. Haha. I'm really glad with the way things are working out with us. REALLY glad. He's in class right now and I kinda miss him. I probably won't see him too much this week because I have way too much to do. But we'll see. I know he'll keep me laughing on the phone for atleast an hour each night :). Yay for the boyfriend. :)
Well it's time to get back to the large load of homework that I have to finish tonight. I'll be up for another 3 hours atleast. I hate how I think I can take on more than I really can. Maybe I should accept the fact that I can't take up as much as other people and to figure out my own little balance. Oh well. Live and learn, right?
Have I mentioned that I cannot wait till spring break and/or the end of ap exams? Sigh.
