Being with you gets me that way...
So I was told by a certain someone that I needed to update my journal. I don't particularly feel the need to, seeing as no one reads it. However I'll humor you, so enjoy.
I can't remember the last time I updated...probably around spring break sometime perhaps.
Since spring break everything's been a blur. I got myself into a hole basically and halfway through this half of the semester I finally took ahold of things again and started climbing back up. Unfortunately for my grades I think it was a little late for that. But hey I have to learn from my mistakes.
I took interest in a new boy. He was nice, plays lacrosse. We had fun hanging out...and then he made out with my best friend. awesome. That was a GREAT weekend. She was honest with me, and I'm not holding it against her. shit happens. and as for him, he probably wasn't worth it anyway.
I finished all my AT hours without having to cram them all in at last minute. I finally feel welcome in the "AT family" as they call it. I've actually been doing stuff and gotten the hang of it. I even acuired a nickname that will most likely stick with me til senior year when they call me out at the AT banquet. haha. The nickname is Ice Princess, and like every other AT nickname I got it because I embarassed myself. To make a long story short, I ended up spilling a whole gatorade cooler full of ice water all over the floor and had to sweep/mop it all up. Definitely humiliating but it's okay, cause it ended up being a good laugh.
I've been sick for like the past month and it's really getting on my nerves. really. I think I'm finally getting better *knocks on wood*
Me and Alicia have already been assigned our room next year. We're so excited, we've already been planning out how we're gonna set it up and everything. We're on the same hall as Sarah and Caitlin, Rebecca and Kimmy, Ashley and Laura, and Pegno and Tricia are in the same building on a different floor. This should make for yet another crazy year.
Next year is going to be really tough. I have to do 100 AT hours each semester and I have 18 credit hours a semester. ugh that includes two, count them, TWO lab sciences. Anatomy and Chemistry. I will end up shooting myself in the face. My At hours are gonna be different than this year too. I have to come back to school a week early to do two-a-days then I will have a rotation at a high school (pat's trying for SR) and a rotation with a sports team here. Second semester I will have another high school rotation and a rotation at a Physical Therapy clinic. fun fun.
Yeah so I had DIP class saturday. If I can help it, I will never ever ever getting a ticket ever again to avoid that class. That was the most God-awful thing I've ever been through. The guy was annoying as hell. We would have been done hours before we were if he had just stuck to the topic and not went on and on about how much women are different from men and he also made us take a 5 minute break every half hour so he could go smoke. Then I had DUI guy sitting behind me who had a question or comment for EVERYTHING. I seriously wanted to punch him. Jake sat beside me though. He's Alicia's boyfriend. We sat there and made fun of everyone. I even got in trouble for talking...in DIP class. wow.
Other than DIP class my weekend was amazing. On Friday I went to see Jen and Wes's new place. It's beautiful. They did a really good job. Then I met Chris at Kroger. He had gotten off work later than he expected to so we didn't get to meet until later and he was all worried that I'd be upset. Which I wasn't, cause I know how work goes. But he called while I was waiting and told me to close my eyes. I looked in my rearview mirror and saw he was parked behind me so I obliged. So he came up to my window and when I opened my eyes he had a dozen roses for me and apologized for being late. Then we went to Famous A's and ate. I saw LeighAnn which was a wonderful surprise and then we went and rented School for Scoundrels and watched it at his house. It was a good movie. We ate lunch together saturday when they gave us our lunch break. Then yesterday he came up and led me out to his car with his hands over my eyes and had ANOTHER bouquet of roses. haha he got them because he said I needed flowers up here since I left the others at home. He spoiled me all weekend. I'm not used to the "princess treatment" as Sarah likes to put it. It's pretty nice if you ask me.
I'm most likely going to be working two jobs this summer to save up since I won't have time to work during school. I already owe my parents over $140 for DIP class and cell phone bills I went over on. In addition to that I have to take my cell phone bill back over, take over the car on the insurance and put it in my name (I guess so my ticket won't effect my parent's rates? I dunno) and then pay for all kinds of other stuff pertaining to college. I will not have a life this summer. But thankfully I might not have to work at Sonic. I got a call about the front desk attendant job at the RAC that I applied for. I have an interview when I get home next week, so that will hopefully work out. That job would be perfect. If I get it and they can't offer me fulltime then I'll probably keep Sonic for a few hours a week. I don't really know yet though.
I also have to pay for the beach trip. That expense I don't really mind all that much though. Me, Alicia, Jake and Travis are going to senior week, since Jake graduates this year. So that should be fun I suppose. Hopefully me and Travis will get along so we can end on a good note since he leaves for Ohio the week after we get back. I wish I could say that I'm going to miss him, but in light of recent events, I'm not so sure that I will anymore.
My freshman year is basically over. One more day of classes and then final exams and it's all over. It hasn't hit me yet. I don't know how to feel. It really flew by. But I loved almost every minute of it. College can be a really great experience.
The weather lately is beautiful. I'm SO anxious for summer.
