Culinary escapades!

I love to cook and most of my buddies know that. I don't know when I started picking the tradition up, but I've gotten into the practice of cooking and baking as a way to self celebrate academic accomplishments. It may have started a while back when I was in a total academic slump where nothing seems be be going right for me and I tried to cheer up by baking something nice for my self. Seriously, sometimes I wonder why I did not go to culinary school instead. It may have been a lot more fun.

I know its completely nerdy to celebrate for getting good marks on a midterm, but I like giving myself the excuse to go on these cooking adventures. For my recent 96/100 virology midterm 4/218 ranking, I've never gotten into the top 20 tile before so this is a first for me, I spent my weekend working the kitchen. Menu: Okonomyaki, cream of chicken stew, and a blueberry citrus crumb topped sweet bread.

Over all it was a pretty good success except for the stew. Failure mainly due to my reluctance to use heavy cream and used non-fat milk instead. I just can't get my self to get past the heavy fat content.

I should have really taken pictures. Perhaps its time to invest in an nice camera. Hopefully next time there be pictures.

I've already got the next menu planned for after finals. Menu: Baked spinach feta salmon, vegetable medley soup and berry cobbler.
