Things I'll Miss About Working Downtown
(In no particular order)
1. The restaurants. Boy has the eating scene changed in the past 5-10 years. Some of my favorites are there. I will miss you, Elote, Zorba's, Dilly Deli and Atlas. At least two of them are open on weekends.
2. The short commute. My new place of employment is just off the highway, so it's only about five minutes longer, but still. I like being able to get to work fairly quickly and run home during lunch if necessary.
3. Friday lunches with my love. :'(
4. Just being downtown. I feel more connected with the city there.
5. Being a jack-ass pedestrian.
6. Scaring other jack-ass pedestrians when I'm driving.
7. Walking to Centennial Park when I need to get out of the office. Not that I've done that in a while, but I used to love it.
8. Being close to Cherry Street. I guess this falls into the "restaurant" category again. Oh well. I still mean it.
