A nuclear bomb in a field of flowers.

Why I love the heroes/main characters I do.

See, as I told velvetwhip today, my first crush was Superman. However, that had everything to do with Christopher Reeves' eyes and probably nothing to do with the character he played. See, I always prefer the darker, more complex heroes. The ones with too large of a body count to be considered an all-around nice guy [Batman for example]. I think a lot of that has to do with the way these characters are portrayed [at least from what I've seen of them]. Superman always struck me as reactive, waiting until there was danger to go rescue someone. However, Batman always struck me as more proactive. He'd go out and take out the bad guys, not wait for the next person to be in danger.

I could be mis-remembering things, it's possible. What do you guys think of it? It doesn't even have to be comic book characters, either. Any fictional character, really.

The title, by the way, comes from Farscape: 4.21 We're So Screwed: La Bomba

Guess what I did at work today? I wore a bomb. A nuclear bomb in a field of flowers. I could get lucky. Tomorrow I could have a bigger bomb. I could kill... more people. Maybe they'll be innocent people. Children... maybe.

That one always chokes me up.
