My Great News

Ok, I believe that this topic deserved an all together new entry; hence two in like a half hour.

This semester I have primarily been worried about two things: 1) finding a job and 2) grades

Well, I've found a cool part-time job that is easing the strain off of my pocketbook and I'm still updating my resume, going to interviews, and calling people. Yep, I think I'm on the right track here.

And now, my fantastic news...

I've been very worried about the one class I needed to graduate. I had been struggling with the in-class problems and wasn't doing so hot on the quizzes (which by the way, the never hands back so i have no idea of my standings in the class). Anyway, last Friday was the first exam in this class. I took the essay exam and left it thinking that it was TOO easy and that doom was leering over me like a bad habit.

Yesterday, my professor hands back the exams. I just saw everybody's facial expressions sink as they looked at their scores. My friend Laura even started to cry. I was very concerned. Finally, when he had like two more scores to hand back, I received mine. I said I was shooting for a score in the low 70's. Eh, set my bar low so i'm easily satisfied. I turn my exam over and...

85% woo hoo!!! A "B" I thought. YES!!!
Then, he went over the grade distribution in class. It turns out that 84 and above is an "A."
I was so elated that once class was over, I had to skip all the way to my boyfriend's apartment. He was at class so I relished to his roommate Mike. Poor guy never saw it coming.

Well, I'm in a superb mood today and I must start living my life so toodles.
