I called up the good-ol PLDT 171 Repair Hotline last Friday to report our grounded warehouse phone. Apparently they were also having line rehabilitation in the area which might have caused the line interruption, nevertheless I still asked for a repair guy to check our place and see that maybe there's a problem on our side.
No one since Friday came. Then I called again, and again and again.
Tuesday morning, irrate and with still no PLDT line at hand, I called their hotline via our home landline. This bitch whom I wasn't able to get the name suddenly, in the middle of my rantings, acted that as if the line got messed up and couldn't hear me. I was just asking her to request a person to come over to our place to concurrently check if the problem was on our side and maybe not the rehabilitation thing and she gave this tons of reasons that these guys couldn't go. That stupid bitch! I was using our house PLDT landline phone and there were no possibilities of it "auto muting" or lose signal.
Ate, that's Call Center Technique# 21512 on "How to get rid of irrate customers" and she's no good with it.
Then I called again, this guy named 'Reno' (or something that sound similar) cordially accepted my request and just before my lunch break someone came to repair the line. As what I predicted the problem was, the phone line on our end DID HAVE a problem!
Minsan hindi ko alam kung nag-iisip ba ang ilang mga call center people tulad nang bitch na to. Marami ang hindi marunong ng customer service - or maybe baka yun lang kaya ng makikitid nilang kokote. If you're dealing with customer request and complaints please equip yourself with the right people skills and always say things on how to help your clients like reporting it, expediting the request, making the follow-up as what your their can only do.
