A Philosophical Musing About the Holidays

First, as most of you may have noticed, this blog has turned into something more philosophical than most blogs. I'm trying to use this to rationalize my thoughts and give myself some explanation, while still being able to provide some sort of insightful commentary into what is around me

i enjoy how its become equality for everyone but Christians.

first of all, hanukkah is not a important holiday for jewish people. it was pretty much invented so that jews wouldnt feel left out by Christmas. if your friend lou really wanted to celebrate his holiday at home, which is celebrated at night anyway, he couldve gone home. there is no school in america out there that wont let someone go home for religious reasons. if he stayed in school because he doesnt want to miss stuff going on at school, he cant complain, hes putting earthly things above his religion.

if i have children i dunno if ill let them attend public school because ill have to unteach them all the extra crap that is put in their heads.

the whole thing about bush making decisions on his morals is exactly what makes him a better president than what kerry would have been. kerry said things just because he thought it would get him votes. apparently hes a Roman Catholic, but he sets that aside for his own glory, not to say that bush isnt enjoying the power he has, but at least he doesnt forget about who he has the greatest responsibliity to be faithful to.

america was founded by Christians and its fairly obvious that they never intended america to be filled with people of other faiths, or no faith at all. indians were eihter killed or converted, very rarely were they left the way they were. its my belief that if you come to america you should assimilate, not the other way around.

i do not support war at all. i believe it is inherently wrong to kill anyone. however i am not naive to the fact that no matter what, there will be wars. i feel that the war in iraq was beneficial to the people who were under husseins rule. i rather that they not be tortured and persecuted.

who cares if someone has a nuclear warhead and they want to shoot it at us, if Christians are already under attack in america. I rather be shot than be politically corrected into a heathen.

On Nuclear Wars

On the subject of wars, you say that you do not support war at all. However, there is no way you can really be opposed to all wars. There come times where you have to be pro-war in order for large-scale devastation to be avoided. Take, for example, Europe in World War II. Germany, a clear aggressor, had attacked Poland and France even though all the diplomatic actions had already been exhausted. By all standards, the only way to prevent the German invasions was to take up arms.
