It has been an exciting month already. Today (any moment in fact) my band is leaving on tour for the southwest, california, 2 weeks in the sun, singing and hopefully swimming. We had a new album come out on yoyorecords (an old school olympia label that put out the early mirah/mountain goats stuff). I finished my new zine this week and that is exciting, and it feels good to have gotten these artifacts of the moment together before it was too late to do so...
my sister also got married this past weekend, it was a beautiful and enormous wedding, I sang in hebrew at it and ran around doing all the pleasant and unpleasant maid of honor duties. Now her and her wonderful husband are out of town on their honeymoon, and I will only see them for a couple of days before I leave town.
In less than a month I am moving to France for the year, I just got my long stay work/study visa in the mail, moving away from Olympia to hopefully not return. I have loved living here but feel so ready to move on. My honey and I are going to seek out new places.. if Europe doesn't work out due to a variety of factors, we are talking about the east coast.
I feel happy and relaxed and motivated and sort of silly. I am only stressed in the way that I am very focused on carrying out the tasks at hand, whether they be technical or creative or emotional. Marking things off my list, one by one.
