Justin got his braces off today. They put permanent retainers behind his front bottom teeth as well as his two front teeth. He'll go back tomorrow for his temporary retainer. It will take a few days for me to get used to seeing him with straight teeth and no braces. His teeth look really good though. And kissing is so much better now that the metal is out of the way. I'm really happy he went through with getting the braces because I feel like it has eliminated some small problems that could have become bigger issues later on. It's also easier for him to do everyday tasks, such as eating (without getting food stuck in different spots) and brushing. When we were looking at older pictures of him, he seemed surprised that his teeth were as crooked as they were. We took pictures in a photo booth today to celebrate his first day without braces. Unfortunately, the photo booth wasn't the best and the bottom part of the screen was fuzzy. His teeth are blurry in most of them, but it's the thought that counts.
Next weekend is the AMTA convention in Lexington. That means I only have to get through three days of work this week. Since Niki had to quit because of the allergic reactions she was having to the Aveda products, I've picked up some extra hours on Fridays in March. This weekend will be a nice break before the five day work weeks start.
