Oh, it's been a while...
Alright so if i tried to recap everything it would just be too much so I guess livejournal land will just have to miss out on that chunk of my life, such a shame. A lot of the time jd is the only one that replies so I figured my livejournal land could be more appropriatley be called jessie land and decided to just write her emails.. but then I realized how much all my other faithful readers that may not post are missing out on, right? Right. :)
This weekend I did a lot of very active and outdoorsy stuff which was nice for a change of pace. Stumbling home from the usual smokey bar somewhere (yes, smokey... new orleans hasn't come to terms with the no smoking indoors law yet.) just wasn't doin it for me this weekend.. plus it was the first lame weekend there has been since I've been here so i seized it! I went running with the runner's club on thurs. which was intense. They do some kinda sketchy runs like the Sunday night midnight run... running anywhere in new orleans at midnight even with like 20 people I would think is a REALLY REALLY bad idea so I think I'm going to pass. (Especially considering i can't keep up with some of the speed demons... so me running alone at midnight through a park that would be a THOUSAND times scarier at night doesn't sound very fun to me.) Then Friday just wasn't so great cause the parties we went to were gross and everyone was way too drunk for their own good. I did enjoy having my room all to myself though for the weekend that was nice. I talked to Julia for the first time in a while on Friday and it was nice to hear her voice. I was worried about them cause i heard that the cops were at the party they were at and i just wanted to say hi and what not. She didn't call me back which made me sad (it's okay i still love you.) I've just kinda come to the realization that everyone has their own lives now and chances of people calling me back and having time to talk are slim so I kinda gave up on it. That's just life though i guess. :\
Saturday I went waterskiing and Jessica came with, her roomie Emily is also out of town, and there was a big group of us. Greg, his gf Lauren, Alex, Willie, and Mark (Alex's roomie) so that was really fun. We went and got 50 cent beers at this marina place with really good shrimp, yum.
Sunday i got up at like 7:30 and ran the Race for the Cure. Jess- you're right it was awesome and i love and if we're ever in the same state at the same time for it, I wanna do it with you! It was cool to see so many people rally for the cause. It also made me feel good that i got up at 7:30 and actually ran 3 miles and walked one.. the chances of that ever happening ever again the rest of this year is somewhere in the negative numbers. :)
Today was same old same old classes.. i got dumped on with rain again after my econ test and I've just become one of those people that everyone looks at like wtf is she doing? Why doesn't she get under an over-hang or like run or something? But nope i just take my flip flops off roll up my jeans and stroll threw the pouring rain in a white shirt, I kinda like it actually, kinda relaxing.. I suggest everyone tries it at least once.
Another cool sidenote... I'm looking into internships and stuff for the summer and I originally I was saying that there was no way in hell I'd ever work anywhere other than Az for the summer.. but I'm interviewing for a company that their closest headquarters on the west is Cali. Which I talked to my mom about and since my dad travels to los angeles twice a week anyways it would mean a apartment for myself and a place for my dad to stay when he travels with me so i wouldn't be all alone and a free road trip place for anyone who wanted to "visit" or for all i care live with me so i wouldn't be lonely. :) I haven't even interviewed yet though so this is all just an extravagant daydream.
So there's the latest update, take it for what it's worth :) miss everyone at home/all over the country!
