12 weeks since I last posted to my own journal.
I know not many people read my journal so when things happen, I just post to the according community. Im much better at keeping up with those...but anyway, for everyone else...
Mishka is doing much better. Not too long ago he was the skinniest ferret Ive ever seen but after some TLC and some duck soup, he's fattened up a bit (still super skinny) and he's eating on his own again. I guess thats the perils of owning older animals. Even with him so small, he still beats up on the other two fatties when they annoy him XP
The rat boys are doing good. They've been getting along much better since Ive goeen them their new cage but that was almost 6 months ago! Still, theyre happy and they've been looking much better since I put them on oxbow rat food. They lost all their extra rolly polly weight and their coats are sleek and shiny. Scritches has lost enough weight though that Im worried he too is succuming to old age. This August he'll be two years old! My sweet grumpy old man. When Scritches' brother died, he became grumpy and reclusive. I dont want that to happen to my beloved Miyagi but only time will tell.
Roo the kitty has been switched onto Nature's Variety cat food. He was on good stuff before, but the brand had certain foods on the recall list so I wanted to switch to something that wasnt on the list at all. He had no problem switching over. He loves the stuff and no upset tummy. He was starting to get a bit chunky on me since I was still leaving the food out all the time and not rationing it - he'll be a year old in july - and figured now seemed like the best time to start dishing out his food as an adult. Now he's back to his proper handsome kitty weight.
Wow, im talking about my babies as if they were chunky lardasses! Well, thats not the case. Those of you that actually know me, also know that I mother hen my babies and if anything is off even the slightest bit, it gets fixed. Roo started having kitty chub on his tummy so I started to ration, my two younger ferrets I call fattys just because they are nice and solid and look huge next to my old man. They're not actually fat! The rat boys were though. I had them on a number of different diets and they stayed dull coated and chunky. Especially scritches who hat rolls under his arms! When I started working at All Pets Club, they carried this stuff called Regal Rat which is like a kibble made just for them. So I tried it and they loved it and now they look great!
*snuggles the bebes*
I spoil all my boyos and do my best to keep them happy and healthy.
Besides that, I have art projects up the wazoo and my sewing machine, lucivar, is being a royal pain in my rear! *sigh*
