Busy, busy, busy...

Sorry I haven't updated. I have been really busy. I have been in the process of

1. Working my brains out.
2. Buying and collecting stuff for El Salvador.
3. Collecting, packing, and delivering donations for El Salvador to the warehouse.
4. Packing my clothes and getting myself prepared to go down to El Salvador.
5. Packing up the apartment and getting ready to move as soon as I get back.
6. Collecting and deciphering what is ours and what is not throughout the apartment.
7. Trying to get all my schoolwork done before leaving and turning that in, including an individual project (geometric scavenger hunt book) and a midterm.

So, on top of all that I am just tired and trying to stock up on some sleep for the lack of it that I will be getting while down there. It should be fun though. I had a great time Summer of 2000, the last time I went. I am going on a missions trip for those that still don't know. I will be leaving Sunday morning at 3 a.m. and returning the next Sunday evening. This time, we are actually going to a dormant volcanoe to a cardboard city. Apparently, it actually gets up to 110 degrees up there because the old, dried lava retains the heat from the sun. It will definitely be interesting though. Last time I went, we never went to any cardboard cities, plenty of government housing (really bad housing, not as good as govt. housing here, so that should tell ya something) and just shacks that people had built and LOTS of schools. All of the schools there look like they are old barn stables for like horses. They are made of wood with chicken wire fencing around the tops and dirt floors. If they are lucky, they have a chalkboard and desks but usually just picnic tables to sit at. It is very dusty there and woman have to wear long skirts. We all buy some of the ugliest skirts you have ever seen in your life. We go to the thrift store and buy the cheapest ones there becuase it doesn't matter. It all blends in over there, and they are going to get dirty anyhow.

I am trying to paint a picture of what it is like over there. Sorry, not the best at it, however, I do have plenty of stories and will have many more when I return so feel free to ask. I will try to find my scanner and hook it up when I get back so I can upload some of the pictures and let you see for yourself what it is like. Please leave any questions you have as well as pray for me while I am over there!!!

Love ya guys tons!
