So I know that I need to update this and I have lots to share about me Christmas travels but I will save that for another time when I have more time or more homework to avoid. So until then the random facts/funny things
As we were discussing in class the other day.... why is it called a French kiss? Because if you think about it the french like to kiss on the cheeks, it is what they are known for. So why do anglos call a kiss with tongue a French kiss? We discovered that other cultures have French kisses but it is not the same as what we call a French kiss.
I found a dentist I like. It seems just my luck, in 22 years I haven't found a dentist that I could even say was ok, I have hated them all and am scared of them. And I mean to the point that I get panic attacks being in the dentist's office. But now I have found one, in France! And considering that the French use novocaine less often than we do that is saying something.
I love the French government! Not only do they pay for 80% of my medical bills but they also control the semi-annual sales. That's right, twice a year for six weeks each everything is on sale, except food but same diff. And while it is kinda like Black Friday it is also sooooo much better. Because it is guaranteed that every store is having sales and you can compare door to door and get really cute French clothes and shoes! I bought some cute shoes, flats brown (I really needed black or brown flats to go with most things that my teal ones do) and a very chic long winter coat. Although it is unusually warm in Lyon you almost dont need a coat but oh well. From know on I can wear the coat and if people ask I can say oh I got it in France. My next mission, boots!
