The other day, I came across
a bit of Slavic mythology I used to be quite fascinated with...

The interesting thing is that this character has not always been so scary...she used to be this quite neutral spirit of the fields protecting crops and flowers, and you'd know she was around by the sudden gusts of wind there. I wonder...at which stage a pretty girl roaming the fields and caressing cornflowers turned into a killer beauty? *chuckle*
Also, I'm in doubt as to what I prefer: is it the clear and explainable idea of a sunstroke/heatstroke we have now, or the picture of an angry nature spirit smacking people on the head?
I've been assaulted by her at least once myself...
