The "Arwen" type of work...
I am up to my neck in an embroidery project...
Several months ago, I bought a lovely black dress made from thin cotton. It already had a decidedly "ethnic" feel, so I wanted to enhance that and add some embroidery to it. It took me a while to pick what I really wanted to do, and finally here it is:
This border is going to be all along the bottom of the dress...but oh boy, only now do I realize what an ambitious project it is. 43 DMC colors (not exactly the cheapest stuff ever!), I'd better work during the day if I value my eyes, and I've also discovered that I'm going to need a thimble... *sucks left middle fingertip*
The pattern does look gorgeous on black, though :-P
