So I've come across this brilliant bunch of crackfics about a cat adopting...Darth Vader. :-D The author is Lionchilde; there have been eleven stories so far, and the writer, who kindly responded to my review, assured me there would be more.
As a former cat owner and a present frequent cat visitor, I SO can relate to all that. I spent a whole evening giggling quite loudly at those little stories...and it also got me thinking about this...cat thing.
I remember a lot of fannish discussions with friends when we'd say, "Oooh, this character is definitely a cat person." I personally can easily imagine cats with, say, Denethor or Elrond. Or, if we take real life, Cardinal Richelieu (no idea what kind of pet he preferred, though!). Somehow, cats go with a lot of reflection for me, a lot of strategic thinking and determination, and probably also meditation.
I'm curious...what literary characters can you imagine with pets, and what kind of pets would those be?
