What one does with a Friday off

For starters I don't know what to do with a Fri. off anymore. I'm a horrible boring girl, aren't I?

In the end I played a lot of FF XII (and I'm going to either play more after posting this or watch anime). Plus I met up with my ex-roomie for lunch at the seafood place in the Old Navy strip. After two visits I have to admit that I like it well enough that I'll be back again. We then proceeded to kill time before an afternoon movie by a quick stop for me to buy work pants. I shall be going to Milwaukie this month, on the 11th to be exact and I get to fly and I have never flown before. So I guess I'll learn real quick if I have a fear of flying. *crosses fingers*

But anyway, the real heart of the day off-- the movie! So we go to see Blood and Chocolate which the only thing she's really told me is its the next supernatural romance movie out. I'm a huge sucker for werewolves, note that I used to love LARPing in the Garou game once upon a time. Now the movie had me hooked thus far just by it's being a 'wolf movie, but standing outside the theatre looking at the poster and reading the cast I almost squeed because in the credits I read the name 'Hugh Dancy'. Now I'll admit I haven't seen him in much. King Arthur, Ella Enchanted, and The Sleeping Dictionary respectively and it was because of his role as Galahad that I did hunt up the last one at the local indie movie rental place. Ella was just too cute to resist, Hugh Dancy or no. But this latest movie, this was.... gooood. Clean shaven pretty actor, with adorable eyes becoming utterly infatuated with a wolf girl. The hunt scenes are amazing and the pack mentality is great. The villain is only a villain because of his own stupid stuborness, but from a wolf go figure. I also loved his character's profession of graphic novel artist. That tickled me pink. He's definitely an actor who's a good lead for a romantic role and I wish someone in Hollywood would catch on to his potential or something.

But that in a nutshell was my day off... Excuse me, the lure of sky pirates and traitors beckons.

movie fiendishness
