A long day off
My last full day off before working a 4 day stretch before I can go home for the holiday and it was equal parts accomplishing what I wanted and frustration.
Upside, went to Shakespeare's for lunch, finished writing Yuletide fic in longhand. (Consequently by the time I got home I got it typed and uploaded 5 hours before the deadline.)
Downside, on the way home from lunch got the mother of all flats when the steel belt broke. Tire off of rim, rim limping into a gas station. Frantic calls to find someone who has tools to change a flat. I miss my tools.
Upside, Xmas shopping is done I tell you. No more shopping, period. I refuse.
Downside, didn't get to go to the movie with my old roomie.
Upside, did get to exchange presents with her and later met my other friends at Chili's for a rather late-ish supper. Also drug my hero with the tire tools along since he fixed my van on his lunch break I figured I owed him supper at least.
Downside, tv died. Must replace tv today, I need FF12 fix like nobody's business.
Upside, lil sis should be up on Fri. to spend the weekend before driving us all back to Doniphan where I shall have a better car waiting for me. (Which is why I view the flat as Kitten's revenge for having her replacement lined up.)
All in all the day was better rather than worse. Hooray.
