... after 8.5 hours of regular BA (business analyst - queries, oracle, programming, power point, yadda, yadda) work sucks.
How to explain this... it's like working out for five hours with two minute breaks between reps/machines in one night.
I got up at 7:00am - was working by 7:30am - stopped working at 5:00pm - okay so that's actually 9.5 hours of regular BA work - which contrary to my mother's belief is actually *quite* tiring. Then I got to take a break - until 6:30pm. An hour and a half.
At that point, we went out and started moving cattle panels to build a run to move two yearlings to the same pen as the mini-horses. Now, that's moving 70lb steel panels that link like ... well sorta like lego to span 150 ft. except because we don't have enough to go the entire 150 ft, you have to keep closing the run behind the two horses then loading up the excess panels you have freed onto the tractor forks and moving them down to the front of the run, building the fence then closing it off again. And that's just me, my 74 year old mother and my 11 year old kid - because the 18 year old took off.
I'll tell you what if this keeps up any excess weight I am carrying will very quickly melt off. I'm pretty sure I dropped at least 10 pounds over four days just by the way my pants are fitting.
We didn't get inside until 11:30pm - at which time I took fifteen minutes to guzzle back a pepsi to replenish my blood sugar enough that I didn't just pass out, then I gathered clothing for work - tossed it in the washer - asked my mom nicely to put it in the dryer (she was still staying up) and crashed at 12:00 midnight.
