The
Rarely Written (formerly Rarewomen) Exchange is up!
I was fortunate enough to receive an absolutely amazing work, featuring Freddie Lounds from Hannibal (TV series) fandom. Freddie is her usual fabulous, cruel, hard-boiled self here, but as she tries to pry a story out of Beverly Katz, she starts to think a little less about her big break story and a little more about the evidence. Freddie is one of my favourite characters - you know the saying "Nobody on Hannibal knows they're on Hannibal?" Well, whether Freddie knows or not, she acts like someone who does, like she expected the world to be that way all along, and she fights and kicks and profits at every opportunity. She's perfect, here, never vulnerable and yet a little open to change. The prose is stunning - if you enjoy the bizarre and beautiful cinematography of the show, you will enjoy this fic. Spoilers for both seasons of Hannibal, gory events from the show mentioned but generally much less graphic than the show.
