It was a lot to take in, but that place is so cool. I'd say the average person working there is about 27-30. They have the best lunch/break room with pool and foosball tables and catered lunches, and the 20 ounce Pepsis only cost 85 cents. SCORE! Oh, and the colors are blue, purple and neon green. EVERYTHING are those colors. I LOVE it.
Everyone is really outgoing and nice. I have my own cubicle, which I can't WAIT to decorate. I can wear JEANS until May, which is cool, but I kind of wanted to dress up.
Right now, we're not starting the official training until April 17th. We were helping with his HUGE binder project for the clients, and I saw what I was working with. Not much creativity to it, which is what I wanted, a lot of spread sheets and directories. DOWNGRADE. But that's the only real complaint I have, shockingly enough. Everyone is nice. Everyone is very laid back. There are HUGE incentives, bonuses, overtime, etc. It was hilarious though, because I thought I'd finally be putting my degree to good use. I was so happy to quit my job where I put papers in charts based on six-seven digit numbers. What did I do today? Put paper in order based on six digit numbers! Oh the fucking irony. Speaking of which, I can't ignore the fact that when I was yougner, I swear I'd never do the whole office/watercooler TV/9-5 thing. SWORE UP AND DOWN! Out of the 10 years I've been working, I've been in that setting for NINE.
I can't wait to decorate my cubicle! I'm sooo tempted to put my pic of Justin up there, but I'm definitely not. Because, I don't want people knowing I'm insane yet. I'm going to buy a whole bunch of fun, colorful stuff and decorate on my break in a few weeks.
Great, my mother is throwing a fit about the kitchen. WELCOME HOME!
