07/09/08 Hamster update: He was fed a date/lured out of his sleeping den by a date. And ate only half of it before going to the toilet. haha
Just as we were preparing to bring him out of the house, he is woken by us and opens his eyes to look at us. Except his right eye is open and his left eye is a SLIT. I look at it closely. There's some crust, dusty-looking on the left eye. I go get a cloth & warm water. By the time I am back he has managed to open it, THANKGOD. I wipe it anyway (while he squirms and squirms, so basically I've just unwittingly given him a little shampoo without the shampoo) and we cart him off to the car. I hope nothing goes wrong while I'm away. I must be the paranoid-est hamster owner in the entire world.
ANYWAYS.
I am a shopaholic. It's really terrible. While I was once young and would like drop $100 easily on one item of lust, you practically have to rip the money off my hands now for any single item of that amount. (Besides my Coach wallet, but I'd lusted for that for a year already, so I had to cough up the $300+ to stop torturing myself.) Instead, I spend about $50-100 per shopping trip nowadays - that's about once, twice or thrice per week, and that's clothes/shoes alone. Not counting food, especially the expensive lunches we are apt to have. I usually buy clothes nowadays; I don't know why. It's not like I need that much clothes either. I've stopped buying bags - the one thing I used to love. Cos I have a few "expensive" ones now that go with everything, so I don't bother with cheap ones that are just "fashionable". I find that I like classic pieces more than things that make a statement, cos I'm so lazy and I want the item to last forever. I still buy starry-prints and shit, but I try my best to limit myself. Ahem.
I saw
this jacket online at F21. The spree organizer wouldn't take it in cos "it's too heavy" Grrrr Wanted to get it for my trip this week but too bad, too late. Went Vivo and Wisma branches to enquire but they didn't have it. Still, I'm not giving up and gonna call them up till I manage to SIGHT the bloody thing. I am in love with jackets. I have quite a few. Some that I don't wear but like looking at. Same thing for my other items of clothing; dresses especially. I buy them and I don't wear them. Disgusting, I know! But it's just something I have to own when I see it in the store. But when I buy it back. There's no ocassion. I don't feel like wearing it, blah blah blah.
And on another note, Charles & Keith shoes suck. Not just my opinion. I'm gonna try JWest from now on; I have a pair that I bought on sale (the seam subsequently busted a little after ONE wear and the salesgirl refused to replace it) but it's so DARNED freaking comfy. Which I guess is why they cost so darned much. Shoes should be invested in, right? We should take care of our feet. They're not like clothes, cos clothes are for modesty only.
Ooh, I sure talk a lot when it comes to shopping.
Having said all that, I still wear only a boring few pieces to work, cos I usually buy clothes that are not suitable for work. =\
Damn the dress code!
(I shld be asleep but the food is still swimming around in my tummy. I chose junk food over nice food for tonight, and we had a feast. Were effin' hungry.)
