This is about pathetic.org, the poetry site. This is about an amazing place where I have grown as a writer, where I have made lasting and wonderful friends from all over the world, where I have laid out my life for people to read and critique, where I have belonged.
This is about a place that is full of good, talented writers, who become better writers (and people) through interaction with each other, including navigating conflict.
This is about a place that some of its members feel has become increasingly negative and oppressive because of the measures taken by a certain administrator when his corner of power is threatened.
JD, this is about you:
Who used your administrative access to this site to purposefully move a thread that Chris started in the General Forum to the Brag Forum, then deny doing it, in fact stating that he was the one who originally wrote the darn thread in the Brag Forum to give you a hard time. Essentially, lying to draw him into a confrontation. I saw it, and another member of this site saw it: the thread was here, then it was gone. Chris addressed you about deleting his thread; you said something to the effect of, and I'm paraphrasing here because the thread's gone with Chris (or is it?!), Bah! Don't be so immature! Nothing's been deleted! So, then, we found it in the Brag Forum... OK. That is where you accused Chris of writing there in the Brag Forum first, and of being immature, and so on.
It seems to me that an administrator who would go out of his way to move a thread from one forum to another is practicing the same stuff he's doling out.
This is about you, JD Clay:
Who lashes back at any questioning of his authority with arrogance and sanctimony.
Who will never admit fault about anything.
Who, despite what you say, in action have made many confrontations personal here at pathetic.org
