Here in Maine!!!
I am here in Maine safe and sound. The strange thing is that there's usually total and complete mass chaos here but everyone is coming and going so it's really really loud and then extremely quiet. My mom's the oldest of eight children so I've got one hell of a big family.
Maine is SOOOOOO gorgeous and it's a place that a person could draw inspiration from (from the beauty of it all) but it's SO boring if you're not an outdoorsy kinda person (which I am not). Pop Pop has satellite direct upstairs and so when Emily isn't taking a nap and when it's not nighttime or early in the morning, I can watch tv. It's been keeping me occupied. I've managed to watch Moulin Rouge, Pearl Harbor, Casper, and Home Alone 2 all in the span of a few days.
Maine is DEFINITELY a boy's playground. There's fishing, golfing, swimming, hiking, sailing, seafood, kayaking (sp?), canoeing, rock climbing, mountain biking, biking, etc. This place makes me think of Adam. SO much of Adam. He would LOVE it here. He would probably give me a car if I took him up here but Pibby wouldn't allow it. Unfortunately. :( Even if we are just friends.
My birthday is in less than one and a half days. "The big 17" as everyone calls it. 17 sounds so old. It seems like there should be an age in between 16 and 17. Supposedly, Uncle Mike was going to be here for my bday along with Jane and Caleb AND that UJ, Arax, Nicky, and Charlie were supposed to be here as well but Mike won't be here until around midnight and God knows about Bob and his family. Oh well, my momma's makin me a HUGE chocolate cake so life is good. AND I get presents. :)
There's a debate going on over the driving age. Must go participate in the fun. :)
