Invincible is what you think you are...

Today, we were watching a video in Driver's Ed about teenagers getting into wrecks and dying and how
10,000 teenagers die each year in car wrecks, etc. Then it said how ALL teenagers can't wait to drive and
how ALL teenagers think they're invincible.

I am going to be 17 on July 23rd. I'm now starting to take Driver's Ed because I'd be a social outcast
if I didn't know how to drive and I need to know how to get myself around when my parents aren't available
for that. I never had an extremely strong desire to drive and I really don't right now either.

Me? INVINCIBLE?!?!?!? You have GOT to be joking. I think that one of my problems is worrying that it WILL
actually happen to me. EVERYONE is mortal. If I understand that concept then I bet that several other
teenagers do too.

I don't like the fact that ALL teenagers are labeled as "people who think their parents are stupid, think they're invincible, think they're cooler than school, rude, etc."

I think my parents are extremely intelligent and wise people and I ask them for advice as much as I
can. There have been times when I haven't agreed with their decisions about certain things but have I
ever thought that they're stupid and held that thought for an extremely long time? No way in hell.

I've never thought of myself as cool so maybe that just explains why I don't think I'm cool. lol

Rude? Honey, I was born and bred in the south. We have manners out the wazoo in my house.

So does the fact that I'm not a "typical teenager" make me weird? Maybe. Does it mean that I need to be
"adjusted" so that I fit the stereotype of a teenager? Hell no. I'm an individual. I'm unique. I LIKE who I am. Go me for being different.
Yes, I needed that.

On a lighter note, I got a new bedspread, sheets, pillows, AND a lampshade!!!! EEEEEEEE!!!! :)
I...freakin...LOVE it!!!!! The bedspread is denim and it's from Laura Ashley! (Who in the hell would've
known that you could find a DENIM bedspread at LAURA ASHLEY?!?!?! NOT ME!)

Anywho, moving on...

AHEM

Dumb Law of the Day:
It is a felony to cut off your arm so as to make people feel sorry for you and give you money in Alabama.

Kae and McShells: Y'all SERIOUSLY need to call me about the Usher concert! Will y'all be in class tomorrow
night? I will! :)

Janet: We need to figure out what to do about Adam and Chris. Call me.

Until next time.
