since i'm not in the mood to write my eng essay (which is due tomorrow and i haven't started yet >___< ) i decided it's time for an lj update! haha
so...last night i had nothing better to do so i thought i might as well make an attempt to organize my drawers/closet and open a suitcase case worth of stuff that my mom told me to bring back to berkeley with me. well, when i opened the suitcase it see 6 boxes of hot chocolate (even though she bought me six boxes 3 weeks ago -____- does she think of live off of it or somethinng?? v__v), 4 bottles of influsium 23 conditioning spray (just because i mentioned once on the phone that i bought this new conditioning spray that i kinda liked), 6 bottles of toothpaste (cause i told her i lost my toothpaste one time and had to take the bus to walgreens to buy toothpaste), 3 boxes of cereal (because one time i spent $5 to go to the DC just getting a bowl of cereal and milk), 4 ink cartridges for my printer (just because i said i was getting low on color ink), 10 light bulbs (just because i broke one lightbulb one time when my clip-on lamp *or whatever u call those* fell), and 100 blank cds (now why would i need so many?? they already gave me 50 in the beginning of the school year). talk about asian parents buying things in bulk -____-. me and my roommate started talking about our parents and started comparing all the toilet paper we have (yes if you're asian you know u probably have half a closet full of that stuff), bottles of shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste (yes i'm sure many of u have a life-time supply of "good" toothpaste at home too), binder paper/notebooks, canned/boxed food (from when it's on sale and won't expire until a long time later), etc. overall, we were talking about how asian parents HOARD everything and anything that's on sale and can be of possible use later on. BEWARE of telling you parents u like something(that is cheap) unless you want a LOT of it. my roommate told her parents that she liked fruit roll-ups, lol when her parents came to visit they brought 6 boxes! (they came twice so that's 12 boxes altogether and it's only been 2 months). or like when she told them she liked this one shampoo, they got her three HUGE containers of it. o, and for you girls you KNOW her mom buys/gives u a life-time supply of pads lol. my roommate was like "my mom must think i have my period every single day!" but yea...haha i just thought that was funny. on to other things...
i get to see (almost) EVERYONE in 2 weeks! if you're in fremont i expect to see YOU! haha FEAST TIME!!! =D
(btw for those who are going to joyce's on friday...i'm gonna make the turkey/stuffing but i think it's gonna possible cost up to $40, maybe less, it really depends on the size of the turkey and how much stuffing we need for it, but anyways, donations? >__< )
it's raining really hard at berkeley right now...it's really weird cause it feels like i haven't seen rain in a LONG TIME (excluding the last couple of times at berkeley). for like the last 4 yrs in highschool i practically avoided rain. i mean when you're at american high, you canNOT tell what the weather is outside cause the school is so sheltered. and when i'm not at school, i never leave the house when it's raining. So yea, it's kinda nice to be reacquainted with the rain. the air feels so nice after a nice rainy day =D anyway...time to start english paper =T
btw: sorry to people at UCD =( i know i said i was gonna visit on veteran's day but it's totally raining today and i still have a huge paper to do =( i promise i'll try to come sometime soon!! just tell me when the best time for you is =D
