my cousin got in an accident friday night. she goes to baylor in texas and was driving back from walmart following a tow-truck. somehow the truck or the car that it was pulling hit the interstate and knocked a chunk loose. the chunk (12 lbs...9"x6"x4") came fying into her car. it first hit her hood, went straight through the hood to the body of the car, bounced off of it and came through the windshield. thank the Lord, her steering wheel was up high and it hit that instead of her.
she and her passenger are both doing just fine, only scratches. i thank God that the steering wheel was there and protected her.
