Nobody puts baby in a corner (Life Update)
I don't know why I'm quoting that, other than the ads for Dirty Dancing on ABC Family that they show constantly keep quoting that line, and it cracks me up. My husband and I randomly say it to each other around the house when things get dull. Maybe we should dirty dance when things get dull, but that would take too much energy. :P
Why am I watching ABC Family, anyway? Whose Line Is It Anyway? is on at night, and a belly full of laughs is a good way to end the day, I always say.
What else? Life is sweet in our little house. I'm in absolute love with my dishwasher, washing machine, and automatic ice maker/dispenser in the fridge. We've lost steam after we painted the kids' rooms, but we'll get the rest painted. Er...someday.
We bought a lovely couch set with Wob Wob's bonus, which I did take pictures of, but can't download them yet. Curse you, technology! I'll just have to invite you all over for a partay. Just don't spill on the new couches, m'kay?
Work is going pretty well. I worked throughout the summer and had a blast because my co-workers were wonderful. Now I'm working alone with 10 four year olds in the morning and 10 in the afternoon. No aide yet...they are having problems finding qualified biligual aides, so they are just holding my registration at 10 each. And they've made some positive changes at work, which has made working there much more enjoyable and informative.
We have a lot of fun in class...we dance to some music before our circle time. They love listening to your wonderful cd that you made for me, jiminyc, especially the Hoppity Song! Their favorite song to dance to right now is Daddy Yankee's Gasolina. A fellow teacher gave me a CD with dance songs on it for the kids at school, and this was on it. Yeah, it's probably an extended euphemism for something, but the kids don't get that. They just think it's about fast cars. :D
Other random things...my own two kids now love to sing along to the following songs. See if you can recognize the following lines.

For those of you familiar with my filk addiction...should I enter one of my existing ones (because I just don't have the time to write anything new)? And if so, which? Gah, and when are they due? I'm nursing a sore throat right now....
