Starscream

Thoroughly done with this useless convention, this stupid island, Starscream had headed to the nearest large space to transform and take off. If anyone complained about the noise, well he would no longer be there to care - not that he would if he were present, anyway.
Tromping over the grass, he glared at a nearby tree from his unnaturally diminutive height; he'd be all too happy to go back to planning on his own, thank you, where Earth was full of tiny humans and trees, like it should be!

Having a suspicion of which mech was Starscream (if only by reasonably deducing which ones were definitely not him), Bumblebee followed him out of the hotel towards the park, attempting to trail along at such a distance that the other wouldn't notice him. Thankfully, Starscream seemed otherwise distracted.
Bumblebee was glad that the jet had refrained from any sort of action on the island that would've necessitated a reprisal, though he wondered if there was a reason for that - maybe something to do with his very strange appearance? Maybe he had a virus of some sort. Curiosity overwhelming him, Bumblebee moved closer as the other transformer came to a stop in the middle of a grassy space.

Despite his annoyance, Starscream wasn't completely unobservant. As Bumblebee moved closer, he spun about with one null-ray powering up to fire. "If you want me to shoot, just tell me I'm funny," he fairly screeched. "Or mention spider-scientists or something, anything-- give me a reason!"

...Oops. Well, Sam wouldn't be happy, but this was a chance to see what was going on, at least. Bumblebee stepped out onto the grass with his hands up, eyeing the other mech warily.
"I'd rather you didn't. Though with you of a size, I think I could take you if you tried."

Optics narrowing, Starscream's aim didn't waver as he watched the oddly realistic ugly yellow mech move closer. His glower did become a glare though, upon spotting the Autobot sigil on Bumblebee's helm. "Autobot," he sneered. "I've probably got more martial prowess in my aileron than you do in your entire 'Elite Guard'. Somehow I'm not surprised to see you here, with all the other worthless pieces of slag that call themselves 'robots'. But why are you spying on me?" He punctuated his demand with a pointed finger beneath the target of his null-ray. "Surely you would be happy to see Megatron's downfall just as much as I?"

Elite guard? Megatron!? Bumblebee slowed to a stop, hands still before him. "I don't want to start anything," he said carefully, now convinced that the other had fallen victim to some sort of glitch or virus. "But Megatron is dead, Starscream."

Starscream gave Bumblebee a withering look. "Don't pull my tailflap, 'bot, Megatron is online and unfortunately well," he said slowly, as though to a slowclocked drone. "Allspark willing, he will be dead soon after my return."

"You were in Mission City when he died," Bumblebee said, almost sadly; poor mech, he was really gone, wasn't he? Even if Bumblebee was his enemy, insanity was a terrible way to go. "Along with the AllSpark."

Starscream stared at him a moment before cackling loudly. "Next you'll be telling me that Blitzwing and Lugnut have taken up collecting for the orphaned Decepticons fund! Oh, this is rich, really. Go on, Autobot, and find someone else to bother with your pathetic ramblings. I'm heading back to Detroit, where I will kill Megatron, take over as leader, and then proceed to crush your little group and maybe enslave the humans or something." He paused. "--No, too much work. We'll just head back to Cybertron and take it over, and perhaps someday crush Earth in the wake of my universe-spanning empire."

Bumblebee twitched his antennae slightly, a little nonplussed. The possibility that this was not his Starscream was just beginning to occur - almost as if his neural processors were frantically attempting to distance themselves from the mech standing before him.
"Yes. Well," he said finally, taking a slow step awaaaay from the Decepticon. "'Goodnight and good luck.'"

Giving Bumblebee a wary optic, Starscream slowly lowered his arm. "I won't need it. Just know that when I gain leadership, you'll have much more to fear than you did from Megatron," he warned, very graciously to his mind.

"I will be sure to tell Optimus Prime," Bumblebee said solemnly, considering another step backwards.
Starscream

"Who? Oh," Starscream realized with distaste. "I'd think that's important enough to go higher than him, but if you insist." He shrugged and grinned nastily. "In any case, enjoy your little island for however long it's standing. And give my regards to Cybertron - I'll be there soon, I'm sure."
Impatient to be on his way, he transformed and powered his engine with a sudden (slightly smaller than usual) roar. With no need for a landing strip, he took off towards the causeway, narrowly missing one of Bumblebee's door-wings on the way.

The idea of a universe where there was a higher Cybertronian authority than Optimus was disturbing in the least, and Bumblebee was still digesting the thought as he heard the sound of a jet engine be swallowed by the portal.
He sat down heavily in the grass and began to prepare a report: Optimus would want to hear of it, and he was sure Ratchet and Ironhide would be just as disturbed as he currently felt.
[OOC: Open for anyone after Starscream is gone, Bumblebee will be sitting for a bit. Personal LJ because putting up code-thingy in the comm feels weird.]
