So okay, I burn cd's. I burn them all the time. I obviously see no problem with it. I'll burn them for other people and for myself. I think the fact that it is illegal is retarded. Dvds, on the other hand, I don't burn. Not because I have some problem with it really, I just prefer to have the actual dvd and it's case..not a burned one. If anyone ever asked me to burn them one, I doubt I'd have a problem with it. However, Nicole asked me to burn her my 3 seasons that I have of Dawson's Creek. And I got upset. Why? Because each dvd set cost 40 bucks...that's $120 that I (ok, my mom) spent on those. Now if she wants them, she can buy them, or, at least, pay something for them. Not to mention the show is my favorite show ever. I don't like the idea of helping people steal from it. Thus, I think I might finally begin to understand why artists have such a problem with burning cds. They spend a lot of money to make them, and they spend a lot of time on them. And here people come and just burn them for nothing. All of their hard work is pretty much wasted.
I'm not going to stop burning cd's. There is a difference..I am poor. They are not. My burning their cd's will maybe give them one less limo ride for the year. I don't feel too guilty. I just kind of understand now. Anyways, that's really all. My life is lame.
