So I went to Radford to see my sister this past weekend...wasn't sure if I was going to go because of the weather but I figured, what the hey? It was a long drive since I've never done it before and also because right outside of Lexington on 81 S I got stuck in traffic for an hour (10 miles an hour). It stunk...and I was still a good half hour to an hour away I figured. So I left Newport News around 230ish and got there after 8. Eh. But the way back was much smoother...I didn't even have to look up directions...I just used my gut and it got me back...it was so great. :-) I filled up a couple of times because I don't like to get under half a tank...but that's okay.
While I was there, I got to sleep in a bed because Nikole (my sister's roomate) was gone for the weekend. But don't worry, I brought my own sheets..lol. The food at Radford is awesome (they've got boardwalk fries in this place called Piper's Grill...very yummy). Also, I met some of my sister's friends, and they all seem pretty nice, although I have to admit I wasn't one for playing Jenga truth or dare so I stayed in my sister's room and worked on my public admin ppr (which is 95% done I might add!!!). Also, me, my sister, and her friend Dorian (?) went to the New River Valley Mall which is apparently only 4 or 5 exits off 81 goin' back toward Blacksburg/Christiansburg. I didn't know this beforehand and we looked up directions on mapquest which took us a completely different way and of course I got lost once I was i Christiansburg...stopped to ask at a Long John Silvers, a gas station, and a Kroger where this place was...the Kroger guy did the best job and we got there....after like 45 minutes!! haha. It was a good adventure tho. Who woulda thought I'd be smart enough to take the interstate back to Radford...we got there in 5-10 minutes that time. hehe. I couldn't stop by and see my other grandparents in Lynchburg because I had to get back into town I was familiar with by the time it was dark...not to mention I had that stupid paper to write. I didn't leave Radford until a lil after 4 yesterday (Sunday) and I got back to Newport News a lil after 8...so I did MUCH better on the way back...but I went kinda fast....hehehe. Anywho, hey! I got my left cartlidge pierced at the mall...it's pretty. My sister got her right one done. I also bought a new shirt at Aeropostale (I think that's where I got it). I had a really good time and I can't wait until I get to go up that way again. It's so pretty...plus I just love driving that steep hill right next to Radford...but I won't drive 5 hours just for that...I'll have a better reason and I'll stay much longer...lol.
Alright, I'm about done. Fall break is going well. I think Amy and I are the only one's here, lol. Later guys!
Catey :-)
