Friday December 23rd 2:15 pm at a clothing store
Neha looked around the store, picking out some warm winter clothes. She'd finally found the box with her clothes in it, so she was wearing jeans and a nice shirt as well as one of the few jackets she owned. It wasn't warm enough, but it was better than her saris, which were designed for the hot weather of India.
She picked out a couple of jackets to get a better look at them and to feel the texture. She wanted to make sure whatever coat she got was not only warm, but also stylish. She put back the first one and looked closer at the second one. It looked nice enough in a rich royal blue that would suit her skin tone perfectly, but she wasn't sure it would be warm enough. She pulled out another coat that looked warmer, comparing the texture of the two. After a moment, she put back both and picked out a light brown jacket that looked to mimic deer skin, though it wasn't real fur or anything. It looked both warm and comfortable and Neha tried it on experimentally. She smiled when she saw what it looked like in the mirror and added that to the clothes she as purchasing.
She then went to look at various pants and skirts. She preferred anything that was feminine and her eyes were drawn immediately to a classy long skirt that looked warm, but was also very pretty. She pulled the skirt off and looked at the price. With a slight shake of her head, she put it back. The skirt was more than she could afford right now, since she was getting the expensive coat. Since they'd just moved, there wasn't a lot of extra money. She needed a coat and some warmer clothes, but the skirt wasn't a need, it was something she wanted and the price was too high for now. She'd have to wait until she'd gotten her next allowance and her father had gotten settled at work.
